This is a contest for Visual Artists (sorry stockers, next time I promise

). There will be 4 winners:
Photo manipulation:
- Judges' Winner
- Deviants' Winner*
Other Visual Arts (ie. Digital drawing, watercolors, traditional drawing etc.):
- Judges' Winner
- Deviants' Winner*
* Deviants' Winner will consist of the ten top images selected by the judging panel (excluding Judges' Winners) and each section will be made via a public poll for one week.
Rules
- You must use at least one of my 'Forest Queen' stock images in the art work (the 45 images to chose from can be found here: http://kirilee.deviantart.com/gallery/42321615 )
- You must follow rules of all stocks and resources used (including my own)
- You may enter up to two times

though even that would be a kinda new beginning, it's the beginning of an afterlife or of nothingness or reincarnation, whichever belief you hold to.) So long as your work is titled and inspired by the idea of beginning, starting something new, something unknown

I thought it was about time that I ran another contest! The theme is based off my 'Red' series that I have just uploaded.

There are two categories, with two subheadings each. Thus, there will be a total of 4 winners. Visual Art (Photomanipulation and other Visual Art forms - ie. drawing, painting, digital or traditional) and Stock (Advanced and Beginner - I want those who have never done or done little stock before to give it a try)
As an extra incentive, all creations will be displayed on this journal for the course of the competition like a mini feature.

We are surrounded 24 hours a day by objects that have texture, they may be smooth or bobbly, old or new, bold, bright, shiny or dull. You might see a texture every day and never notice it until you start looking. Do you sit at a desk that's textured, or pass an interesting tree on the way to work or school?
We want you, in the form of a triptych (thats 3 images forming a larger image see example here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triptych ) to tell us the story of your textured world. Each individual texture should stand on its own, both as a useful resource and as a cohesive part of the whole story. What story you tell through your texture triptych is up to you - but they must be textures that tell a story of your world in some way.

Stocker Community - My inspirationG'day everyone,
I thought I might just take this opportunity to post about some stockers in the Deviantart community who inspire me (and continue to inspire me). This isn't all of them... just some that when I look at their work, I want to make mine better to be the same standard as theirs (or at least try). STOCK CONTEST - INSPIRATION

G'day folks,

I am two days over due, but here it is. A contest ONLY for stock!

The theme is 'Inspiration'

And I can hear some of you already going... "What the??? That is a bit BROAD!"
Well there is a twist.

You need to find inspiration from another stock artist.
The idea of this is to push you outside of your comfort zone and create an stock image (or series) that you never thought you would create.

Which other stock artist do you watch and go "Wow!", I wish I could be more like them?

To be clear, this is not having you re-create their image/ series. It is about you taking inspiration from that series and putting your own spin on it

- You must provide a link to the image/ series that provided the inspiration
- You must credit the stocker that provided the inspiration for the entry
- You must note the stocker that they inspired you for this series (and yes, I'm sure they would be flattered).
- All stock entered must be new
- Note me with your entry/ies and specifically tell me if you wish to be judged in the Advanced or Beginner level (however, if I deem that you are more advanced than you give yourself credit for, I reserve the right to change the level).
- All type of stock are accepted - model, object, nature etc.
