Helen Magnus
Stock # 7

Taken 14th January, 2011

Helen Magnus happens to be one of my favourite characters from "Sanctuary". Something about this dress reminds me of her.

From a photoshoot I did with the ever lovely Bec, :icondarkness-sisters: and Emma.

Please find stock rules in journal.

I may not be able to express it as eloquently as the commenter before me but I love this picture. Something about the way the cloak (even though I keep mentally calling it a "cape", like for a superhero or something) is, and the motion, I don't even know.

This is an awesome image! Your incredible demeanor, your gown and the soaring cloak combine to make one of the finest photographs I've seen on this website! The drama of the shot leads the viewer to imagine all sorts of storyline possibilities: I picture you as a visiting baroness who has discovered the lord of the manor has more than afternoon tea on his mind. You hold a dueling piece in other shots so I have to assume you are capable of defending yourself. As one who for years has worn both wool and velvet hooded cloaks as everyday winter attire and has attempted to photograph those gloriously billowing wraps on windy days, I have to say your photographer has done a remarkable job of capturing the dynamic beauty of your cape. Might I ask: can your borrow a voluminous hooded velvet cloak from your theater company's wardrobe and do another shoot on a suitably breezy day? If so, we all await the results. Warm regards...the Cloakmaster
